It lies within the Dale Peninsula, which offers a plethora of water sports activities. Overlooking beautiful views of fields and on towards the castle with woodland behind, Drift’s rooms have been lovingly furnished with an open and airy feel throughout. During the evening you can curl up in front of the open fire with a glass of wine and relax after a busy day sightseeing, or enjoy dining al fresco on the private, south-facing patio cooking freshly line-caught fish.

The local pub, which serves fantastic food and locally brewed ales, is right on the coast; you can dine al fresco here as well and enjoy the magnificent views. For an early morning stroll with the family, the beach is a 5-minute walk away, or for those who are more active, enjoy a refreshing swim or jog. Locally the beautiful sandy beach of West Dale is within walking distance, or take a short drive to the stunning beaches of Musslewick and Marloes Sands. Not to be missed for the ultimate wildlife adventure, take a boat trip from Martin’s Haven to the Islands of Skokholm and Skomer, where you will be sure to be amazed by the puffins, Manx shearwaters, harbour porpoises, Atlantic seals and razorbills. Avid walkers can also take a stroll on some of the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath that runs from Amroth in the south passing through Dale and onto Cardigan in the north - but be sure to bring along some binoculars and a camera! You can also visit the coastal resort of Tenby, which is surrounded by medieval walls. Built to fortify the town, they are still in place to this very day, complete with arches into the town leading to cobbled streets and the harbour. Beach 600 yards. We had a great stay at Drift, in an excellent location within walking distance of the beach. It was very quiet despite being the school holidays and had all the basics we needed. We had a a bit of trouble with the key lock on arrival but the owner was quick to respond to our call. The only real drawback was the open gardens at the back, an enclosed area at the back would have been very handy with our dog, and to keep other roaming pets out. Overall a very enjoyable stay and the perfect base to enjoy all the great Pembrokeshire beaches from.

I felt that there was a shortage of mugs and tumbler glasses. The bath towels were too small. The information in the welcome pack was incorrect as the wifi password was wrong.
