Be welcomed into the light and airy open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen for rustling up tasty dishes, dining seating for four for enjoying long, lazy dinners with loved ones, and an inviting sitting room with plush corner sofa, woodburning stove, and a TV, ideal for relaxing and unwinding with loved ones after an adventure filled day. Continuing through, you will find a sleek bathroom for indulging in relaxing soaks in the bath and refreshing rinses under the overhead shower, as well as two well-presented bedrooms, a super-king-size and a twin with zip/link, both with plenty of storage for your belongings. You will also have access to a large rear garden with furniture, perfect for savouring your morning coffee as you plan the days adventures. Explore the local village, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at The Ship Inn and tour the Trefin Museum where you can learn more about the villages’ history. For a wider selection of amenities, make your way to Penparc where you will find a well-stocked convenience store and the welcoming Square & Compass Inn. For a day at the beach, venture over to the golden sands of Traeth Llyfn, where you can paddle the shores, bathe, or embark on a hike along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with lots of walking and cycling opportunities. Continue onto Haverfordwest, home to the Haverfordwest Priory, Haverfordwest Town Museum, the excellent Haverfordwest Golf Club, and the Welsh Spitfire Museum. Alternatively a 10 minute drive tkes you to Porthgain with the brilliant 'Sloop inn' and 'The Shed' fish and chips. Further afield, you will find St Davids where you can find the attractions of St Davids Bishop's Palace, St Non's Chapel and Well, St Davids Cathedral as well as a short drive to Whiteands beach. All this and more awaits at Chalfonts Cottage.

Penparc is a tiny hamlet nestled between Fishguard and St Davids, right off the A487. Just a few houses away from the Square and Compass Pub/Restaurant and the mini-market, on the A487, is the mini market. Located just a few minutes from Pembrokeshire's gorgeous and rocky coastline, you may sunbathe on sandy beaches, try windsurfing, take boat cruises to the neighbouring islands, or walk a portion of the 186-mile-long coastal route. For a city that isn't really a city, the Cathedral in St. Davids provides an excellent backdrop to the odd shops, tea houses, restaurants, and pubs that make up this small town. With mountains to climb, old castles and burial chambers to explore as well as the magnificent Oakwood Theme Park, a Dinosaur Park, and much more, Pembrokeshire will leave you eagerly planning your next trip back.     Enjoyed ourselves. Only problem which was also mentioned in the visitors book - two vents on the side wall (one for the kitchen extractor and the other from the bathroom) make a loud banging noise when a strong wind is blowing. This happened on the first night and kept us awake off and on.

    Lovely decor, fabulous shower, really comfy beds, no need to use the log burner as it was warm enough even in March. We couldn’t find any recycling containers outside the property only the black bin. We didn’t know the bin collection day so we missed it.
