Beacon Cottage lies on a quiet country lane above the tiny hamlet of Llanrhian. Formerly a milking parlour, it is a recent conversion, neatly proportioned with ground floor and attic bedrooms and open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The sunny conservatory offers panoramic views across fields and out to sea above the nearby village of Porthgain. In summer watch the sun set over the Abereiddi valley or stroll down for supper to the Shed Bistro or the Sloop Inn in Porthgain. With water heating assisted by solar panels, Beacon Cottage is warm and comfortable and a lovely destination for a holiday at all times of year.
It is a pleasant walk or a short drive to Porthgain from which the Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs both east and west. The dramatic coastal scenery, flower and wildlife are what make Pembrokeshire one of the world’s best holiday destinations (National Geographic voted Pembrokeshire the 2nd best coastal destination in the world). Splendid at all times of year, the explosion of colour with the spring flowers is something to behold!
Neighbouring Abereiddi, has pretty colour-washed former miners’ cottages, black sandy beach (where dogs are welcome all year round) and the remarkable Blue Lagoon. Popular with families, the sand, which is visible at low tide, also contains a high concentration of fossils and is a draw for fossil hunters. Beach 2¾ miles. Pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.

Fantastic cottage warm and cozy.Beautiful open country views from the conservatory watching the wild autumnal weather roll in from the sea.Very well appointed with all mod cons, and a super comfy bed to snuggle down in after an evening star gazing at the black sky which isn’t polluted by city lights.Truly a magical spot.

We absolutely loved this cottage. It was just perfect

There aren't any amenities in LLanrhian itself, but this was clear from the description and did not detract from the holiday at all. Most accomodation is on the gound floor so access was perfect for my elderly parents. The garden is not enclosed so I would suggest a gate to prevent pets from wandering onto the lane.
