Pontfaen is a quiet hamlet between the harbour town of Fishguard and the coastal village of Newport. The property is set overlooking the river and woodland, a joyful scene in any season. Fishguard, close by, has an array of gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs and offers the Last Invasion Tapestry, created in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry. For enthusiastic walkers, the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path stretches 186 miles. Explore east towards Dinas Head and beautiful Newport Sands, where you can watch dolphins and seals. Newport Links Golf Course is situated nearby, with stunning views across the bay. The beautiful Preseli Hills and St David's, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent Cathedral are both a short drive. Entering into a small porch and through a stable door into the cosy lounge with TV and bags of character, with beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and a fabulous wood burner. A doorway leads to the good sized kitchen/diner, with electric oven and hob and microwave, dishwasher and double aspect windows give garden and woodland views. The first floor is accessed via cottage stairs from the lounge where there are two bedrooms, a master double and a twin, both have lovely rural and river views. Completing the accommodation is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside there are large gardens, laid to lawn with a patio with garden furniture, and woodland beyond. There is an additional riverside garden just over the quiet road, with fire pit, perfect to sit and relax alongside a crackling fire as the river flows by after a day of adventure.
