Guests say

Bridge Cottage in Monmouth is highly praised for its great location, with numerous positive mentions of nearby walks and a friendly local pub. Guests appreciate the cottage's welcoming atmosphere, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. The property's charm and peaceful setting make it a favourite for return visits.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotless, indicating a high level of cleanliness that contributes to the welcoming atmosphere of the property.

The location is celebrated for its proximity to walking trails, the River Wye, and a local pub. The picturesque setting and easy access to nearby villages add to the appeal, although parking can be challenging due to the popularity of the area.

Reviewers find the cottage comfortable and cozy, with a wood burner and central heating mentioned positively. Comfortable bedding and a well-appointed kitchen enhance the stay, though one mention of low water pressure in the shower slightly affects this score.

The cottage is well-equipped for a pleasant stay, with a wood burner and a kitchen that meets guests' needs. However, some guests suggest that the lighting could be improved for reading, and there are hints that decor and maintenance could be updated.

While guests mention a welcoming atmosphere with a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge, there are not enough reviews referencing consistent thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind touch but not guaranteed.

Fantastic cottage in a great location. Lots of great walks around the area & from Redbrook. Storm Claudia made the stay more interesting but the open fire & pub next door were very welcoming!

This is the most delightful cottage and has a very welcoming atmosphere. A good bottle of wine and milk were in the fridge and the cottage was spotless with the wood burner set ready to go and fantastic central heating. Everything is very comfortable and well laid out and the inn next door is friendly as is the shop/post office accross the river - easy walk. The only thing I’d mention is that everything is so modern and user friendly but the house is not on mains water so the shower has very slow pressure. Nothing else is impacted and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bridge Cottage.
