Guests say

Tyr Ywen Cottage receives high praise for its stunning views, peaceful and private setting, and beautifully presented interiors. Guests consistently highlight the well-equipped kitchen, relaxing hot tub, and thoughtful touches throughout. The cottage is described as cosy, clean, and ideal for both families and couples. While the access road is narrow and may be challenging for some, and there are occasional minor maintenance points, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The majority of guests found the cottage immaculate, clean, and tidy, with only rare mentions of minor crumbs or food under furniture. The overall impression is of a very well-kept property.

The location is widely praised for its beautiful, remote setting with stunning views and proximity to Abergavenny. Some guests note the narrow, single-track access road as a challenge, but most found the peaceful surroundings and access to walks and attractions a major plus.

Guests describe the cottage as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with special mention of the log burner and hot tub. A few guests found the main bed less comfortable, but this was a minor point among otherwise positive feedback.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, with a good range of kitchen utensils, washer/dryer, hot tub, and thoughtful extras like dressing gowns and remote blinds. Minor issues such as a tricky bin lid and dryer performance were noted but did not detract from the overall experience.

Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as welcome baskets, Christmas decorations, and helpful information about local attractions. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, please note that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

A modern cottage with wonderful views but marred by a difficult acces road. Modern, generally well equipped. Some detailed improvements needed, such as hooks behind bathroom and bedroom doors, storage room for own food. Wonderful mountain views. The acces road is frightening - a mile of winding single track road with few pasing places.

We found the cottage, clean comfortable and well equipped with some nice touches. Hot tub was excellent and very private. The only criticism is the dogs barking early in the morning, so no need for an alarm clock!Access is up a narrow single lane track to property which some might find a challenge. But overall I would recommend.

This cottage was a perfect place to stay it was like home from home and even better stunning views in a beautiful part of the world. The cottage was heated to a lovely temperature on arrival so nice not walking into a cold place plus hot tub was up to temperature ready for our arrival too. We would definitely recommend and return again some day soon.
