A brilliant weekend away with friends in this very special property. Amazing location between Abergavenny and Crickhowell, and with the Brecon canal at the back of the garden. Lots of fantastic walks in the surrounding area and wider Brecon Beacons. We had planned to climb Pen-y-fan but rain and cloud put pay to that so we went underground in Big Pit Colliery instead - which was fascinating for big kids as well as little ones. The Towpath pub does fantastic pizza which we enjoyed after a hearty walk. The house was beautifully presented and very well appointed. The swimming pool and gardens were a real treat. We had limited sunshine but that didn't stop us making the most of the pool! Helen was very helpful and friendly on arrival. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Lovely house. Very well appointed. Had everything we needed. Outdoor pool is heated a bit so we did manage to swim twice even though the weather wasn’t very warm. Abergavenny is a great town. Make sure to try the welsh cakes from the market.

The Coach House was a perfect base for our 4 day break with canal walks and easy access to the surrounding market towns. The views from the property were stunning and waking up to a view of the Sugar Loaf mountain was idyllic. The garden was beautiful with spring flowers and plenty of wood for the wood burner. The house was warm and cosy with everything we could have needed. Parking was close to the entrance with steps or a steep ramp to the entrance. The Kitchen / Dining room was so well appointed with very good quality cast iron casserole dishes and crockery and an easy huge stove and of course a dishwasher. The entrance was so practical with ample peg space and boot rack for coats and walking boots and was lovely and warm when we came back at the end of the day. The TV had bbc iPlayer and Netflix too so kept all the party happy. The lounge was very comfortable and in the summer would open on to the pool area. It is important to be aware of the steps both outside and in otherwise it really is a perfect holiday cottage for all. The lay out gives privacy and plenty of space for everyone. The hot water system is excellent and rain showers have very good pressure. My favourite thing was the view through the round window of the surrounding countryside. We would highly recommend this cottage to you.
