Situated on Hopyard Farm with the owners, this detached barn is ideally situated for those who want to enjoy a quiet break or explore this lovely area of Wales. Underfloor heating on the ground floor of this open plan barn will make you feel cosy and warm, making it an ideal retreat to return to after a busy day exploring the area. There is a lovely enclosed lawned garden and patio where you can spend long enjoyable evenings watching the sun go down whilst cooking on the barbecue. Visit the town of Abergavenny with its historic castle and museum, or perhaps you would like to take a canal boat and visit the Brecon Beacons. If walking or cycling is your thing, then Abergavenny is the gateway to the mountains, the Sugarloaf, the Brecon Beacons and the Five Hills (Ysgryd Fach, Deri, Rholben,Ysgryd Fawr and Myndd Llanwenarth). Abergavenny is also renowned for its food festival in September where lots of culinary delights are to be had. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 3 miles.

Little Barn is beautiful. The kitchen was clean and modern with everything we needed. The shower room was small but perfectly formed. We really looked forward to returning after each day out. We had a lovely few days here and felt very comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we were able to do all the things we planned.

Lovely welcoming hosts. Spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed our week at "Little Barn", so much so we have booked again next year, in this area that I grew up in. Your car is safe in it's own parking area via the large courtyard. Access into the courtyard is through electric gates by a remote control. The internal wooden stairs are tight and spiral so care is needed, they have motion lights on the stairs in the dark. The toilet and shower area is also tight being 3ftx6ft cubicle I would say. The views across Llanwenarth and the Sugar Loaf mountain from the barn are lovely. Loads of open lawn to roam on, and plenty of seating areas to enjoy. Excellent wi fi reception & mobile reception. It's peaceful during the day, with slight traffic noise heard through the skylight windows from the A465 (heads of the valley road) running alongside at night. But none of this puts us off returning.
