Penrallt Cottage in Y Felinheli is highly praised for its stunning views, spaciousness, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy wood burner, and the added bonus of a raised decking area for enjoying sunsets. While some minor issues with facilities and bedding comfort are noted, the overall experience is one of a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with friendly and helpful owners.
The cottage is generally described as clean and well-maintained, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness. However, a few mentions of cobwebs and a dirty door suggest there is room for improvement.
The location is highly regarded for its beautiful views over the Menai Straits and proximity to local amenities and attractions. The peaceful setting is frequently mentioned, although the steep access may be challenging for some.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, particularly praising the living space and cosy wood burner. However, there are comments about the beds being hard and the bunk bed mattresses being uncomfortable, which affects the overall comfort score.
The cottage is well-equipped with a good range of kitchen items and a utility room. Nonetheless, guests have reported issues with the shower temperature, ill-fitting doors, and an outdated TV, indicating that some facilities could benefit from updating or maintenance.

Having a shower room and a bathroom was a bonus. Everything that we needed (and much more ) was provided. The views of the Menai Strait from the windows were fantastic. The owners provided clear directions as how to find the cottage in Y Felinheli. We would stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending Penrallt Cottage for a long or short stay.

The only criticism concerns the bed in the first bedroom where we found the lower bed sheet and one or more mattress protectors always bunched up leaving a lumpy and uncomfortable surface for sleeping on. This needed straightening out before each use but still became lumpy.
