Abersoch is a 15 minute drive from Ty’r Ysgol - it has many shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes along with an incredible beach which stretches away for as far as the eye can see. Venture beyond Abersoch to Porth Ceiriad for surfing or coastal walks. Llanbedrog beach with its picture-postcard beach huts is a really long, sandy beach. In the summer months there is a beach bar and cafe open near the entrance to the beach which is a great place to have a drink, ice-cream meal or just watch the sun go down. For the best surfing in the area head to Hell’s Mouth (Porth Neigwi), a dramatic beach with a fabulous backdrop of the Rhiw Hillsides.

It is a lovely large house with lots of outside space and a secure rear garden which was perfect for our dogs. It is a bit of a quirky house which we love and not a modern box. Everything equipment wise was provided but we couldn't find any scissors, which made us realise how often you use them. There is not a lot in the village so you do need to drive to get to a shop probably 10 minutes to the nearest convenience store and half an hour to a fairly large Asda in Pwllheli, but we did know this before we booked. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here

Cottage is in a quiet central location on the peninsula meaning it was very easy to get to places like Abersoch 10mins, Aberdaron 15 mins, Criccieth 30 mins. Property has huge garden, and was very spacious inside & we enjoyed the holiday immensely. Overall, the property is great but there were a couple of points that need raising considering this is rated 4 star.Firstly, as mentioned by others the water pump in the top double bedroom was extremely noisy (made worse by being unmuffled in a wooden wardrobe that acted like a loud speaker ! You can't sleep through that!) & really should be elsewhere in the property or at least in a sound proofed box. Secondly, the door to the ensuite bathroom in one of the double bedrooms on the first floor could not be closed as it no longer fits inside the frame, creaks very loudly as far as it closes & needs to be sorted asap. Thirdly, no extraction hood in the kitchen which means gas fumes are freely available to breathe in. Lastly, perhaps a minor point the sitting room is not as the photo as it is now very dark blue making it much darker & the leather settees are showing their age.

Absolutely perfect cottage for our family holiday. Very clean. 3 generations plus one dog. Plenty of space . The kids loved the garden. Everything we needed for a great stay. Bit of a drive to nearest supermarket but wasn't a problem
