Stabling, grazing and field available on request, at cost. Parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Set on a working farm, this converted stable is close to Pwllheli and Criccieth. Ideally situated for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula and a 3 mile walk way and cycle path is across the road. It is cosy with modern conveniences and access to the beach (a few minutes’ walk over railway via public crossing). Nearby, are fishing, horse riding along the beach, golf and you can explore the hidden coves. The owner also provides grazing and a field for up to four horses at their property, by prior arrangement and additional cost. Stabling is also available. Portmeirion Italianate village, the steam railway, Pwllheli Marina and Abersoch, for water sports, are all within 15 minutes’ drive. Cricceth 2 miles. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
The Stables can be booked together with Glan Morfa Ganol (19381) and The Mill (CC611037) to accommodate up to 14 guests.

The cottage was clean and comfortable but little things could have made it better. there was a lack of instructions such as what to do with rubbish, recycling, dog pooh bags etc. No instructions as to heating and it was really chilly the week we were there 13c . Only one ring on the hob worked but we didn’t really cook much, one of the plugs in the bedroom didn’t work, the clock needed a battery, the shower was at best Luke warm and we couldn’t get any phone signal at all let alone connect to wifi so felt a bit ‘cut off’ but were told that was probably due to the weather which was miserable all week. A few little ‘extras’ would have been nice eg dog bowl & spare pooh bags, and maybe some basics such as salt & pepper, a few tea bags & coffee sachets & milk sachets to make a cuppa on arrival. Just little things that could have made it a bit more welcoming. Also maybe a few leaflets on places to visit & things to do in North Wales. As I said, clean and comfortable but nothing extra special.

The only reason for a 4 star overall rating was no direct access to the garden for our dogs.5 star for everything else, especially the owners ( and extra star 6 for Amanda in her valiant and successful fight to reinstate the wi-fi)

Great little get away, in an ideal location very close to phwelli and only short drive to abersoch which was nice. We loved the place and it has good facilities the only thing that let it down was the cleaning it wasn’t terrible but there was quite a few cobwebs and we found that lots of the cookware and some cutlery wasn’t overly clean but we just sorted it and got on with the cooking! We also could only get one hob to work? Unsure if it was just us being silly but only the one fired up straight away? Tried to call one of the people in the book but no answer so we made do, overall beds were comfy, nice smart tv, good shower, good car parking, nice cozy place. We just think maybe some better inspections around the place before the next person comes each time would be great. We will definitely be back sometime soon!
