Slightly further afield in Portmadog, have a classic train journey with a view of the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, go on a trek with a new best friend at Black Rock Llamas or go for a stroll along the Morfa Bychan beach path.

Afonwen is a small village with craft centre, only 1 mile from Caerwys, one of the smallest towns in Great Britain. Standing in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between the northern edge of the Clwydian Hill Range and the miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales Coast, this vibrant town boasts two pubs (serving meals), an award-winning butcher/delicatessen, general store, Post Office, newsagent, pharmacy, bowling green and tennis courts.
