Guests say

Penlon Cottage offers a comfortable bed and a quiet rural setting with sea views, ideal for short stays and visitors with local relatives. While the location is appreciated, guests suggest the property would benefit from some attention and maintenance.

Guests have reported issues with cleanliness, including a dirty kitchen, overgrown garden, and a general lack of upkeep. There were also complaints about odours and cobwebs, indicating a need for more thorough cleaning.

The cottage is in a rural location with sea views and is a short drive from Pwllheli, which guests found convenient. However, some guests noted difficulty in finding the property and the necessity of having a car due to the busy road.

The bed was noted to be very comfortable, but issues with small showers, lack of space for clothes, and a general need for TLC detracted from the overall comfort of the stay.

Facilities are in need of maintenance, with reports of broken appliances, heaters not working, and a lack of essential items like light bulbs and batteries. The garden's overgrown state also limits outdoor enjoyment.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Directions. easier second left after hospital property 50 yards on right. 1st impression not good. garden overgrown, gate catch broken dustpan and brush left in garden. Kitchen there was a large garden slug attached to kitchen unit under cooker. Cooker and toaster very dirty so never used them. Oven hood dirty and you could write your name in the dirt No plugs for either sinks in kitchen or bathroom and could not get hot water from either sink. Anyone of a good size could not get into small shower due to very small access. Actual shower good. T.V volume not working. Bed very comfortable but no mattress protector or pillow protector. Little room for clothes so had to go on window ledge

The pictures in the property description are very old. The property is overgrown, dirty and cobwebs inside and out. Inside furniture is the same but worn out. We ran out of toilet paper. Owner left 2 very small partial rolls. I have pics and video.
