This delightful seaside town, situated just five miles from Porthmadog, is often described as the 'pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia'. Dominating the skyline from its majestic position on a rocky outcrop, the town's 13th Century castle offers superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. There are two beaches close by, as well as a wealth of footpaths and cycle trails present in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Nature lovers will enjoy the excellent bird watching in the area as well as the chance to spot porpoises playing in the surf. Andrea the host was great and very helpful, welcome basket was really appreciated. Gorgeous views over the sea and easy reach for Cricceth and Porthmadog and other lovely bays nearby. The only one very small negative was the bed in the main bedroom. A king size or super king would have been better and a better mattress. But this would have just been the cherry on a lovely cake. Would highly recommend the cottage and we will definitely be back.

Having stayed next door in Y Stabl 10 years ago, we knew that the cottage would be comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were also familiar with the area and knew where to find good walks and things to do, even in the winter, and we were delighted that the weather turned out to be drier than expected! Our youngeet son and his girlfiend had a splendid week together, filling their days with outdoor adventure. The only slight quibble, if we were really picky, would be that the kitchen is on the small side for storing food and cooking for more than two. Six might be quite a challenge,unles people eat out all the time! We enjoyed meeting Colin and Andrea once again, and would thoroughly recommend the area as a useful centre to explore the northern Llyn Peninsula. Thank you!
