This delightful seaside town, situated just five miles from Porthmadog, is often described as the 'pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia'. Dominating the skyline from its majestic position on a rocky outcrop, the town's 13th Century castle offers superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. There are two beaches close by, as well as a wealth of footpaths and cycle trails present in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Nature lovers will enjoy the excellent bird watching in the area as well as the chance to spot porpoises playing in the surf. For those who prefer the bustle of a town, Portmeirion's offers various pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms, as well as Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the renowned golf courses of the Lleyn Peninsula.

Tastefully decorated and very well equipped with everything you need for a fabulous stay. Andrea provides a thoughtful and comprehensive welcome pack. The cottage is spotless from top to bottom and has a wonderful view over the fields to the sea. Comfortable and cosy. The downstairs shower and double room are a real plus for anyone travelling with a less mobile member of their party. A great base for sight seeing and exploring the area. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

The generous welcome pack and the views to the sea were welcome. We packed a lot into our week with visits to a Slate cavern, a Copper mine, Portmeirion and gardens. The sweeping sandy bays and mountains of North Wales did not disappoint.
