Further afield, you will find the historic town of Criccieth, home to a remarkable castle with sweeping sea views, a beautiful beach and a fabulous selection of eateries to refuel at after your excursions. Keen anglers will also delight at the nearby Eisteddfa Fishery & Café, perfect for hooking your catch of the day! From here you can easily access Portmadog, where you can hop aboard a vintage steam train at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, explore the Maritime Museum and pay a visit to the Black Rock Llamas. Abersoch is a pretty fishing village on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales known for its beautiful scenery and many different types of walking. The village, which is located between two beautiful bays, is one of the most popular places to go sailing in North Wales. During the summer, important sailing races are held there. The city has a lot of shops that cater to tourists, as well as pubs, restaurants, and cafes. Also, there is a golf course outside the village, and there are horseback riding facilities nearby. Windsurfing, waterskiing, and dinghy sailing are just some of the watersports that are available. Port Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) is also known for its great surfing.If you want to go to a beach in this part of Wales, Abersoch Main Beach is probably the best one. Beaches in the area around the Llyn Peninsula are some of the best in the world. Porth Ceriad, with its high cliffs, and Porth Oer, which is sandy, are two of the best ("Whistling Sands"). People can go to a lot of places off the beaten path, like remote bays, sandy beaches, and cliffs. They can also visit wildlife refuges like Bardsey Island.
