About this property

Tucked away in the pretty coastal village of Llanbedrog, Gwynedd is this inviting three-bedroom property, Awel Y Grug. Benefitting from stunning views of the rolling countryside, close access to the local amenities and beach, and pet-friendly living, Awel Y Grug welcomes six guests to enjoy a peaceful escape to North Wales. After unloading your belongings in the off-road parking spot, enter your new home-from-home to be impressed by a well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you and your loved ones can prepare, cook and enjoy mealtimes altogether; if you prefer to dine alfresco, make use of a convenience front terrace, where you can bask in your far-reaching views a little while longer. Cosy up in the charming sitting room if the evening grows cooler, adorning a Smart TV and woodburning stove to create an authentic and homely ambience. Completing the ground floor are two neatly-presented double bedrooms, serviced by a ground-floor shower room, ideal for the more senior members of your group. Alternatively, head to the first floor to find a lovely twin bedroom, in addition to a cloakroom and snug, where you can get lost in a good book or admire far-reaching views out towards the coast. If you begin to feel sleepy, wash away the day and complete your evening routine before heading to bed in preparation for another day of exciting adventures. In the morning, begin your itinerary with a scenic stroll to Llanbedrog Beach where you can relax upon the shingle shores, go for a paddle or try your hand at a variety of watersports, all before refuelling in one of the charming pubs or restaurants nearby including the Glyn Y Weddw Arms, Tremfan Hall and Aqua Beach Bar Restaurant. Further afield, travel to the National Trust owned Plas yn Rhiw, an early 17th century manor house with stunning gardens and grounds where you can delight in a family picnic. By car, access the picturesque surroundings of the Snowdonia National Park, home to Glyder Fawr, Yr Wyddfa and Zip World Llechwedd if you’re seeking some adrenaline-fuelled activities! However you choose to fill your days, do it from the quaint home of Awel Y Grug.

On the Llyn Peninsula, the beach community of Llanbedrog serves as a fantastic starting point for exploring this stunning region of North Wales. There are two pubs in the village, and both provide meals. Many secluded bays, sandy beaches, and treks may all be found close by. There are local opportunities for sailing, fishing, ponyback riding, golf, and the Snowdonia National Park is close by. The charming town of Pwllheli, which is only a short scenic drive away, is home to a beautiful sandy beach and breathtaking views. It also has a regular market that has been going on since the 14th century and is well-known among tourists and locals for its eclectic collection of art and craftworks, as well as a smaller local produce market on Sundays.

The house is very spacious and perfectly set up for a holiday away - the utility was a great space to keep boots and coats out the way. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge a comfy space to relax after a day of adventure. We received a warm welcome, along with Welsh cakes :) There are some beautiful walks on your doorstep. We were delighted to find a footpath at the end of the road, mak

All mod cons provided and scrupulously clean and well furnished. The views were wonderful and the location was great for exploring the area. Abersoch was only a short car ride away which is a great place to eat out and you can even catch a bus there at the end of the road, taking only 20 minutes. The beds were very comfortable and had beautiful linen. It felt like the owner had gone to a lot of trouble to make guests very comfortable, We would certainly love to stay here again. The property was described as having an enclosed garden but the gates didn’t seem to be able to close and there were sheep at the back. This wasn’t a problem for us as our dog is older and not so boysterous. Just thought this might be an issue for a young dog or young children.
