Did give it personality too. Just enough equipment for 2 adults and a toddler. Lovely big windows over a pretty estuary view. Lots of on road parking. Places to walk to from the house. We loved Bae Borth a few doors down - having lunch twice during our week. Not so toddler friendly (for peak parent relaxation on holiday), had been warned before hand on my asking that no stair gate could be provided. However a retractable pet gate for sure could be fitted to protect from the stairs and dangerous shelf running at the top of the stairs - that would be have made the stay considerably calmer (plus having a dishwasher/washing machine would have been top tier - but aware they were not there on booking!). TV and wifi connection pretty wobbly. Single glazing full of condensation every morning - which took away from the pretty view when wanting to look out from bed with a cuppa and needing to spend a fair amount of time wiping it down first. Negatives didnât outweigh the positives though and we would definitely stay again.

It had everything we needed and, a lovely view over the harbour. Street parking was easy (in early April) and the heating efficient. Some maintenance issues with the property but, nothing to detract from the enjoyment of staying there. Very quiet area with lovely views and walks. Not a big choice of âeating inâ places nearby but Dylanâs in Cricieth (20 mins drive) was excellent or, just cook at home.. We would happily stay again (and probably will as there was too much to see and do for one visit).

The views, especially from upstairs are the star attraction. It's well worth carrying your cuppa up there when you return to the cottage. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, utensils etc if you want to cook. There is a cafe near by and a bus stop across the road. It's possible to walk into Porthmadog too, follow the coast path. We managed to park near to the cottage each day but not always directly outside. We had amazing weather but if it's wet there are games and books provided!
