About this property

This wonderful refurbished dorma bungalow sits at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the heart of Morfa Nefyn on the Llŷn Peninsula. It is a short walk to the shops, beach and the Tŷ Coch Inn, a famous beach bar which was recently voted the third best beach bar in the world!

The open plan living area is modern, light and airy. It has a squishy L shaped sofa, flat screen TV and wood burning stove. The stylish, well-equipped kitchen includes an integrated electric double oven and grill, fridge with ice compartment and a dishwasher. There is small utility room with a washer / dryer.

There are four bedrooms. Two on the ground floor and two upstairs. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with two single beds, and a second bedroom with a standard double bed.

The family bathroom is on the ground floor with loo, wash hand basin, shower and heated towel rail. There is a separate cloakroom with loo and wash hand basin.

On the first floor there is a double bedroom with a whitewashed wooden vaulted ceiling, standard double bed and ensuite bathroom with bath, loo, wash hand basin and shower with drencher head. The fourth bedroom has twin single beds.

Sliding patio doors open out onto the enclosed garden at the back of the house, which has a gravelled area and lawn. Rattan garden furniture is provided so you can enjoy eating al fresco during the summer months. To the front there is a small lawned garden with shrubs and parking for two cars on the drive.

Whilst this house can sleep 8 people in total, the living space is quite small so we recommend up to a maximum of 6 people.

The coastline along this beautiful stretch of North Wales is simply breathtaking. Nefyn itself has a good selection of shops, including an award-winning Spar, takeaway, bars and cafes.

The pretty coastal village of Morfa Nefyn sits atop sweeping cliffs on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, and features a fine two-mile stretch of sandy beach, popular with families. Morfa Nefyn, meaning little Nefyn, has a Post Office, a wonderful village shop with a cafe, two pubs and restaurants. The nearby town of Nefyn also offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and both are within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli and Abersoch. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and watersports are all available. The Snowdonia National Park is 25 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and superb walks. Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches, cliffs, and wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore. The Llyn Peninsula is itself renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. Also within easy reach are Portmeirion and the Isle of Anglesey. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, Morfa Nefyn makes a superb base for a break.

The let was not very clean inside and out. We had to clean the place before we unpacked. No adequate freezer, we had bought all our food for Christmas, nowhere to put much. No tumble dryer, no drying facilities at all, no racks, just a line in the garden. Log burner was nice, but filthy, inside, no logs to start with, could have at least had a starter pack. There were no curtains or blinds on the french windows, the upstairs windows were not sealed very well, upstairs rooms full of sand. Place overdue for decoration. Shower facilities a bit cramped. Good points, good central heating, hot water.
