About this property

This former slate miners cottage is near Caernarfon and a short drive to the beach at Dinas Dinlle.

Bod Feurig is a former slate miners terraced cottage in the mountain village of Fron. This lies just outside the Snowdonia National Park and offers views of the coast and excellent walking. 6 miles to Caernarfon and 10 miles to Llanberis.

This charming stone property has a cosy sitting room, with an unusual wood burning stove in the inglenook fireplace, TV/DVD/Freeview/CD and radio. The separate dining room has the original quarry tiled floor, a table, chairs and another small wood burning stove. The compact, country style fitted kitchen is well equipped and has a Belfast sink and wooden work surfaces. There are two bedrooms; a double with the original fireplace and Freeview TV and one with bunk beds. The pretty bathroom has a nautical theme with an electric shower over the bath. Heating is by electric heaters and the wood burning stoves. Outside is a small lawned garden with garden furniture. There is parking for two cars at the end of the terrace.

The former slate mining village of Fron is in an elevated position backed by the mountains of Snowdonia. The historic town of Caernarfon is a short drive away with its historic castle, shops, good cafes, pubs, restaurants and pretty streets to explore within the town walls. The Blue Flag award beach at Dinas Dinlle is 6 miles away along with an aviation museum and small airport offering pleasure flights. Snowdonia itself is fantastic for many outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking, horse riding and watersports. The main footpaths up Snowdon are a short drive away. In the other direction are the unspoilt beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula.
