Criccieth’s sandy beaches and ancient castle are 6 miles away and the popular resorts of Abersoch and Pwllheli are easily reached, all well worth exploring, with many miles of sandy beach and watersport opportunities. Within driving distance is the Italianate village of Portmeirion, the wonderful Snowdonia National Park, the harbour town of Porthmadog, home of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railways, and further afield is the Royal town of Caernarfon and the Isle of Anglesey. There really is something for everyone in North Wales and this wonderful cottage can be enjoyed at any time of the year and provides the perfect base.

This delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.
