Penygroes is a wonderful quiet community roughly six miles from Caernarfon, bordering the Snowdonia National Park with beautiful scenic treks and mountain vistas. Nearby Plas Dinas Country House has tremendous history and The Gun Room restaurant. Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula beaches are around a 30-minute drive away, whereas Dinas Dinlle is only a 10-minute drive. Caernarfon Castle is nearby, as are shops, cafes, and steam train rides.
