Around and About
As one of the smallest towns in Great Britain, Caerwys was granted a Royal Charter in 1290 and is situated in what has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Positioned between the northern edge of the Clwydian Hill Range and the miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales Coast, this vibrant little settlement boasts two pubs – both of which serve good meals – a café delicatessen, a shop, a post office, a butcher, a bowling green and a tennis court. For interesting day trips, visitors can enjoy a day out in nearby Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin – all of which provide excellent shops and craft centres. The nearby beach at Prestatyn has been awarded a Blue Flag and offers miles of golden sand, ideal for bathing, water sports and fishing.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
