About this property

Esmor Cottage is a delightful terraced home in the pretty town of Caerwys, ideal for a family getaway. Family, friends and pets are all welcome to this gorgeous, newly renovated property nestled in the heart of Flintshire. Found on a quiet village street, Esmor Cottage offers a warm welcome thanks to the underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, with classic white-washed stone walls adding a traditional feel. Drop your bags down and rest your feet as you lay down on one of the two soft sofas, flicking through the Smart TV while the classic woodburning stove crackles in the background. Behind here, you'll find the dining room, a spacious room where you can showcase your cooking skills, or even use the table as a base for games night. Two arches lead you into the snug/garden room, a tranquil section of the cottage where you can take a moment to yourself, read a book with a lovely cup of tea and soak up the beautiful views of the garden through the bi-folding patio doors. Cook up a storm in the stylish new kitchen, equipped with contemporary equipment and utensils on top of a sleek slate counter top and fresh white subway tiles. Play fetch with your dogs or bask in the sun with a bottle of fizz in the large garden which stretches far back over two levels from a courtyard patio and up steps into a stylish space of slate, gravel and mature shrubs. Retire upstairs, through the quaint cottage door at the top of the stairs, to the master bedroom, a marvelous room boasting scenic views of the local church and further to the distant hills, as well as a sparkling en-suite shower room with a great walk-in shower. The super-king-size room can even be changed into a twin room and offers blackout roman blinds, perfect for a family with children, and the third room is another beautiful king-size room, decorated to a high standard. The family bathroom is a staple in this cottage, the large P-shaped bath is a dreamy location to unwind your stress away, or use the heavenly rainfall shower before wrapping yourself in a warm towel off the heated rail. There are a few local shops, pubs, a cafe and a park right on the property's doorstep, making Esmor Cottage a perfect spot within the quaint town of Caerwys. There are plenty of walks which can be accessed immediately from the front door, jogging routes that take you on delightful, circular local tours and cycle routes which will take you further into the hills and surrounding countryside, and details of these routes are provided for guests who wish to take advantage of what is on the doorstep. Adventure seekers will bask in the delight of exploring stunning Welsh hills which offer an invigorating morning wake-up call for hikers, including the picturesque Clwydian Hill Range and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within walking distance from the cottage or Moel Famau, Snowdon, and Anglesey which are all within an easy drive from the property. Thrill seekers will find plenty of action within easy travelling distance with Surf Snowdonia at Dolgarrog, Bounce Below and the Slate Mines at Blaenau Ffestiniog and the Zip Wires at Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda. Avid ramblers can venture over to Offa's Dyke Path, a 177-mile National Trail dating back 12 centuries, a must-see destination whilst staying at this property. Spend a day relaxing at the beach along the North Wales coastline, choosing between Prestatyn Beach or Rhyl Beach which also boasts a water park, aquarium and cinema, or the more rugged coastal dunes and beaches within easy reach at Barkby, Gronant or Talacre. If you're looking for an exciting city day, make your way to Chester, a gorgeous Roman city home to a zoo, escape room, restaurants, and a thriving nightlife scene. There's plenty of charming villages nearby, such as Llanasa Village, Saint Asaph, Llangollen, and Betws Y Coed, each telling their own fascinating story of Welsh history. Whatever you decide to do during your visit, Esmor Cottage offers a fantastic base to rest your head and spend quality time together.
