About this property

Resting near the coast in Talacre, Flintshire, lies the wonderful, four-bedroom holiday home of Branwen. Featuring off-road parking for four cars on a private driveway, enclosed front and rear gardens, and superb location just a stone’s throw from the nearest shop, pub, and Talacre Beach, this charming abode makes a perfect base for a large family or a group of friends sharing seeking a relaxing, self-catered escape by the sea in North Wales. Step into your lovely new home-from-home where you’ll discover a range of well-presented living spaces, including a fully-equipped kitchen with integrated appliances, a dining room with ample seating, and sitting room with plush seating and a wall-mounted TV, which serves as the social hub of the home. When it’s time to relax, head outside to the rear garden with a glass of your favourite tipple to take a seat on the outdoor seating, where you can raise a toast to your getaway. When you’re ready, get into your bathing gear and indulge with a dip in the hot tub, and gaze up as the starry night begins to appear overhead. After the sun has set, head back indoors and refresh with a revitalising bath or shower before you eventually hunker down for a well-earned rest in one of the four inviting bedrooms, comprising three doubles and a twin. If you can tear yourself from your fabulous new lodgings, head out on foot to discover what Talacre has to offer. A brief stroll into the village centre will bring you to the post office where you can stock up on essentials, the Lighthouse Inn that serves traditional pub fare, and the eateries of The Point Bar & Restaurant and The Battered Fish. You’ll find an abundance of natural beauty in Talacre, whether that’s on a walk through the pristine RSPB Point of Ayr - Dee Estuary or a day spent on the lush sands of the popular Talacre Beach. If you fancy venturing further afield, jump in the car and head west along the coast where you’ll find the locations of Colwyn Bay, home to a beach and the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Penrhyn Bay and the adjacent Porth Dyniewaid Angel Bay hiking area, and the bustling town of Llandudno, where you can find the Llandudno Pier, Venue Cymru, and the awe-striking Great Orme Mines. Enjoy all of this and more by booking a stay at Branwen.

The idyllic village of Talacre rests on the north coast of Wales in Flintshire. The village is known for its famous beach, sitting just across the River Dee from the Wirral from the English/Welsh border. Boasting miles of golden sand backed by dunes, this dog-friendly beach offers a plenty of space for holidaymakers – you might even get the beach all to yourself! Talacre’s most obvious feature is the Point of Ayr Lighthouse which dates back to 1776. Within the village there are two pubs, the popular Point Bar & Restaurant and the Lighthouse Inn, along with a post office that sells the essentials. The area around the beach, Gronant Dunes and Talacre Warren is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (sssi) with an rspb reserve, home to rare species including the natterjack toad, whilst the nearby Dee Estuary is a haven for wintering birds.

There was even a hamper with wine and biscuits and dog treats The hot tub was lovely after our days out exploring north wales. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dogs. Thank you for a wonderful holiday Julie Dave and Boris and Fergie

We had a minor issue (blocked toilet) which was quickly resolved. Nice welcome hamper and Jayne was so helpful and friendly. The garden was great for the grandchildren (Easter egg hunt) and our 2 dogs and we all made full use of the fab hot tub. Outside shower and bar a bonus. The one thing we were concerned about was the bifold door between the 2 upstairs bedrooms as it came off the rail - perhaps remove it altogether or replace with a curtain? We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to other families. Thank you!
