Had a great stay in the comfy, cosy cottage surrounded by sheep in the fields. Owners, lovely helpful people. Village walks to two pubs and a lovely church. Britannia pub has stunning views from the rear. Many interesting places to visit. Favourite being Llangollen and Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. Plas Newydd house in Llangollen. My favourite was Bodrhyddon Hall, book an extremely knowledgeable tour. love it.

From the start, the host Lynn was so welcoming â she even gave me a call beforehand to explain how to collect the keys, and when we arrived she greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. There was also a thoughtful little basket of goodies waiting for us, which was such a nice touch. The apartment itself is a bright and airy space above a garage, with plenty of skylights that let in loads of natural light and fresh air (and blackout blinds for when you want it darker). Itâs really well equipped with everything you could need â a full kitchen with all utensils, washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, WiFi, log burner (with plenty of supplies), and even central heating, although we found the place to be very well insulated anyway. Thereâs also a private driveway and a lovely garden area to enjoy. The location is ideal â close enough to the A55 for easy access, but tucked away enough that it feels peaceful and quiet. Overall, we couldnât rate this place highly enough. It was the perfect base for our stay, and weâll definitely be returning.
