After a day of exploring, kick back in the living room by the woodburning stove, and with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor you can stay toasty in the winter. Outside, you'll find an enclosed garden with a patio, ideal for those summer barbecues, or if you fancy going out to eat, you’ll find plenty of local amenities and attractions nearby. When hungry, rustle up your favourite meal in the large, country-style kitchen equipped with a butcher's block and dining table for six guests. Upstairs you’ll find a king-size with en-suite, a 4’ double bedroom and a twin room, serviced by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a freestanding bath and large shower where you can freshen up after a long day. If you feel like venturing out from your tranquil base, head three miles to the village of Caerwys where you can find a children’s playground, and for a hearty meal out, The Fox Inn is a great choice. The village also offers a bowling green and tennis courts, plus amenities such as a butchers, pharmacy and a post office; alternatively, if you feel like taking in some history or doing some shopping along the way, why not stop in at some of the nearby market towns such as Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin? The immediate local area is abundant in county walks and bike rides through quiet lanes and open fields with breathtaking views of the Clwydian range and Snowdonia in the distance, so make the most of the local footpaths. Further afield, discover the historic Roman city of Chester, home to the famous Chester Zoo, a museum, a Roman amphitheatre, watersporting opportunities, shopping facilities and one of the most renowned racecourses in the country. The lively seaside towns of Conway and Llandudno are also an easy drive away, offering lovely sandy beaches, promenades, harbourside walks and piers, ideal for ice cream in the sunshine. Snowdonia is within reach, ideal for birdwatching, hiking, watersports and more. The property also allows access to the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Caerwys was granted a Royal Charter in 1290 and is one of the smallest towns in Great Britain. Standing in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between the northern edge of the Clwydian Hill Range and the miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales Coast, this vibrant town boasts two pubs, a couple of shops, Post Office, butcher, pharmacy, bowling green and tennis courts. Nearby are the historic market towns of Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin with excellent shops and craft centres, including the Afonwen Craft Centre on the outskirts of the town. Just a short drive away is Prestatyn, whose Blue Flag beach provides miles of golden sand, ideal for bathing, watersports and fishing. This is an ideal location for exploring the attractions of North Wales, with access to superb walking, mountain biking and birdwatching amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Clwydian Hill Range and on the Offa's Dyke Pathway. Visit the wonderful medieval city of Chester with its famous zoo, Lakes Brenig, Bala and Vyrnwy, Victorian Llandudno, wonderful castles at Rhuddlan and Conwy, the historic pilgrimage site of St. Winifred’s Well at Holywell and the Snowdonia National Park, all within easy reach.

    The location is quite secluded but everything is within reach by car . There are x2 lovely and charming local pubs and lots of local walks . I travelled with my little dog who absolutely loved the freedom of the garden ,local walks and the close by beaches, Finally the hosts are outstanding and genuinely nice people nothing was too much and everything was thought of to provide you with a brilliant stay. I have already started looking for my next visit .
