Stayed here as we know the local area really well . The site itself is immaculate and the staff are all really helpful and friendly . There is no onsite shop as stated on their website . The lodge is lovely overlooking the lake and was well equipped and spotlessly clean but was disappointed that some of the furniture and fittings inside could do with updating as they have seen better days ( sofa inside lodge and outdoor furniture next to hot tub need replacing , some heavily marked walls and grouting and sealant in bathroom needs attention) would stay at Herons Lake Retreat again and recommend but in a different lodge.
