This charming semi-detached cottage has been sympathetically converted from the original bakehouse to the village, hence its very appropriate name, and dates back to the 1700’s. Located in the small rural village of Llandrillo, situated between the Snowdonia National Park and the Berwyn Mountain range, the cottage is centrally placed at the rear of the owners own hotel, bar and restaurant and offers comfortable holiday accommodation suitable for a couple, friends or a family. The Old Bakehouse has lots of charm and character and a warm Welsh welcome by your hosts will get your holiday off to a great start. The sitting room boasts two sumptuous sofas for you to relax into after a day of exploring, with a warming electric wood burning effect stove to enjoy.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a lovely dining area to enjoy a meal together, but with the cottage being so conveniently located next to the pub, you don’t need to worry about what evening meal you’re going to prepare, after all you are on holiday! Two delightful bedrooms, both benefiting from en-suite shower rooms are situated on the first floor, individually styled with comfy beds, and Egyptian cotton sheets should ensure you sleep well. Outside is a private seating area with table and chairs and guests are welcome to use the pubs beer garden, or enjoy a glass of traditional real ale and sit outside the front and watch the world go by.
Llandrillo is a delightful village offering a shop, pub and restaurant and provides an excellent base for a quiet break away, centrally located for exploring the beautiful towns of Bala, eight miles away and Llangollen only fifteen miles, both offering incredible scenery and lots to do in terms of amenities and activities. The area offers some superb walking and excellent cycling trails and some wonderful beaches are easily reached. The Old Bakehouse is a wonderful base for exploring and touring the North and Mid Wales areas anytime of the year.

The town has a range of interesting shops, inns and restaurants, and an historical Town Walk.
