Llandudno is a popular tourist destination because of its location between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme, and its two different coastlines. The town's North Shore features a wide promenade and an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels, while the West Shore is more secluded and boasts miles of sandy shoreline, backed by sand dunes, with spectacular views of Anglesey. The Great Orme Tramway and a thrilling cable car trip of over a mile will get you to the top of the 679-foot Great Orme, where you'll find the greatest views. Only a few minutes' walk from the beach lies the town's outstanding range of shops, bars, restaurants, and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, North Wales' finest theatrical theatre for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy, and touring orchestras, with an unrivalled repertoire. The town of Conwy, which is itself a World Heritage Site, is only 5 kilometres distant. Conwy, a remarkable mediaeval gem, is totally surrounded by its well-preserved town walls and is overshadowed by a magnificent castle. There's a lot to see and do in North Wales, from the miles of sandy beaches along the coast to the outstanding hiking and climbing in nearby Snowdonia National Park (both about 20 minutes away by car).

The location, parking (October) size and cleanliness of the apartment was excellent. The entrance is a little tricky if you have any mobility problems, which is down a slope and 2 steps to the side door, a grab handle only goes part way to the door. The smell of damp was profound on entry, obviously it’s below ground, it was dismally dark and extremely cold. We fixed the heating problem and got all the property, including the really cold bathroom toasty warm by turning on all the radiators easily and quickly. The owners have painted the property well, though plainly, the blackout curtains, towels and bedding are good, but the settees and bed are tired and make the property feel ‘rented’ and are not comfortable. May I suggest you also use mattress & pillow toppers as a matter of hygiene please. The lounge area could be rearranged, moving the TV away from the window which blocks light, tidying the garden area and cleaning the windows too, would benefit the room. The table and chairs are tucked away under the stairs which is a strange place as there is space in the large lounge area, we had to use the dining chairs to dry our wet towels in the bathroom. We had no problems with the hot water system and the shower was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious, thank you for the milk and Welsh cakes. This could be a really lovely apartment with a few tweaks and some homely touches. I hope you appreciate that this is constructive criticism. Also.. Llandudno is absolutely wonderful.

Kevin & Claire were very helpful . Owner of the apartment didn’t supply many facilities , not even an iron or board. I found the apartment , with it being basement , was quite dark, even though i’d read reviews contrary to this. Compensated by putting on lights through the day. Location was fabulous , with beach just over the road. Good bus route minutes walk from property . Would stay again , despite lack of facilities .

The lounge is well appointed, but due to being well below ground level, the claims of sea views are overstated. It's a nice location though, a short walk from both beaches and the town. There wasn't enough hot water. Our first morning there was enough for one of us to shower, and the second person's shower ended cold. The second morning there was no hot water at all to shower, and we ended up strip-washing with water from the kettle. We didn't stay the third night, but that's unrelated to the hot water issue. It would have been nice if shower gel and shampoo had been provided. Overall, it was otherwise comfortable enough, but since there was no control over the hot water (we were reliant on a boiler elsewhere in the property?) it was ultimately not suitable for my needs (I was working locally needed to shower early to be able to attend meetings).
