Llandudno rests between the headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme and offers two superb beaches one of which has a large Victorian promenade, while the other has miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and views towards Anglesey. Climb to the the summit of the 679ft Great Orme to enjoy spectacular views, or alternatively take the Great Orme Tramway or go by cable car ride. The town has a good selection of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, as well as Venue Cymru, North Wales' premier theatrical stage. Conwy is just a few miles away, with its Medieval castle enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park.
