Bryn Derw is a well-received cottage, praised for its peacefulness, comfortable interiors, and rural charm. Guests appreciate the quiet location, lovely interiors, and the proximity to Bodnant Estate and North Wales attractions. While some guests encountered issues with heating and maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with special mentions of a welcoming hamper and the cottage's cleanliness.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only a few isolated comments about cleanliness issues. The positive remarks about the state of the cottage upon arrival suggest a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is generally appreciated for its rural beauty and tranquility, with easy access to local walks and attractions. However, some guests found the remote setting and approach via steep roads challenging, which slightly affects the score.
Guests describe the cottage as comfortable and warm, with comfortable beds and sofas. However, there are mentions of a sagging sofa and the need for better mattresses, indicating room for improvement in comfort.
While the cottage is considered well-equipped by some, there are several reports of issues with heating, Wi-Fi, and TV, as well as maintenance concerns like leaking showers and non-working ovens. These factors suggest that the facilities could benefit from attention and upgrades.
The reviews mention a lovely welcome hamper, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and there is not enough consistent information on other thoughtful touches, a score cannot be accurately provided.

Bryn Derw is a beautiful, comfortable cottage in a wonderful, peaceful location (even though it was a little hard to find!) The whole cottage has a lovely ambience and we felt at home almost as soon as we arrived. It's proximity to Bodnant gardens and Conwy is just perfect and our only complaint was that we only had 3 nights there. We really didn't want to leave!
