At the mouth of the estuary lies the historic walled town of Conwy, home to its magnificent harbour and castle, or for more fun by the coast, head to Llandudno and discover its bustling pier and promenade, cable car attraction and the scenic Great Orme Country Park. Spend the day at Betws-y-Coed, a charming community with access to the Conwy Valley Railway Museum, the exciting Zip World Forest, and the Ty'nn Llwyn Walking Trail, all within the dramatic Eryri National Park. Llandudno Junction is a significant settlement in Conwy, Wales, that is part of the county borough of Conwy. The town grew up around the railway station, which now serves numerous through trains between Manchester and Llandudno. A multitude of local enterprises, stores, supermarkets, chain restaurants, bars, and a Cineworld are also located in the area. You can access the charming market town of Conwy by crossing the famous Conwy Suspension Bridge, where you can learn about Welsh history by visiting the 13th century stronghold, the Smallest House in Great Britain, and the ancient mansion, Plas Mawr. Further afield is the larger coastal town of Llandudno, which is home to the Great Orme, a strenuous trek with a pub at the top that offers breath-taking sea and mountain vistas. You can also go for a walk along the historic Pier or take a cable car ride to the summit while you're here. Llandudno Junction is an excellent starting point for visiting this area of North Wales.
