4 Bodnant Road was great in this respect, hot tub is great and even in this cold weather it kept temperature which has been a problem with other hot tub breaks I've had. The area around the property is pretty hilly, so if you have elderly in your group its something to be aware of, if you have a dog there is a field at the bottom of the hill that's great for dogs. just a 2 minute drive there is a Co-op store if you need a few bits, and there is a choice of Lidl, Aldi and Morrisons close by too. Rhos on Sea is great for walks, cafe or a pub lunch and is 6 mins away by car, Welsh Mountain Zoo is also 6 mins away and Llandudno front is just 10 mins away. We all enjoyed our stay here and will recommend to friends.

Amazing host, lovely area and lovely home. We cannot recommend 4 Bodnant enough! Two sisters, our dog and our mum: We had a wonderful 10 day stay in January. The decor was lovely, had character and been thoughtfully designed. The beds were super comfy and the bedding was so soft. Pillows were also perfect. Hot tub was fab. The lights were ambient and fun. (A lot of hot tubs we have encountered don't have working lights). We visited in January, so the sheltered hot tub was appreciated. The steps from the house to the hot tub had antislip covers and a railing to avoid falls. This was good for my elderly mum. If you have mobility issues, you could access the garden/hottub via the drive gate (to avoid steps). Seals! There is a cove about 1.3 miles away called Angel Bay and a short walk (on flat ground, about 10 mins slow walking) from the nearest road takes you to fantastic views of the seals and of the coastline. From the nearest road, there are about 20 steps up to get to the path. Puppy season is around Oct to Nov – bring your binoculars for a closer look! But you get a great view of the cove without binoculars. We went to see the seals twice because it was such a nice and easy walk for my mum. Llandudno and various other beaches are super close. The water on the beaches looked very clean and you could enjoy paddling – I would have gone for a swim if it was warmer! The fact that we could walk for less than 5 minutes and get to a nature reserve or a park was amazing. It was so easy to take our dog on a fun walk without any driving or hassle. The nature reserve was lovely and not so big that you could easily get lost - but big enough to have adventures. As soon as you enter the reserve you can let your dog off lead. There are some steep parts, but if you are fairly fit you can have a nice walk and and also get to the very top in 40 minutes. It is totally worth it. You can see the coast and as far as the eye can see There is an entrance to the nature reserve at the opposite side to Bodnant Road that doesn’t have a steep entrance if you have mobility issues. (The entrance to the nature reserve by Bodnant Road is about 20 meters of steps to flat ground) You can also walk to the beach (including via the nature reserve.) But its about a 40min walk. The house was lovely and warm and you could change the temperature settings easily. Even though it was January, we had some sunny days – sitting out on the balcony was lovely and you have great views of the other nature reserve (we didn’t get round to going to that one tho.). In the summer you can have the balcony door open and the kitchen door open to keep cool. Will was our host and he was fantastic. He couldn’t have been more perfect. We had a lot of problems (that were NOTHING to do with the house!) and Will was so helpful and he bent over backwards for us. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very responsive. It was so great to have such a good host to help us. He also lives about 10 mins away in case you do have any problems, which means he is knowledgeable about the local area as well. Thanks Will! Wifi – this was great and worked in every room. My sister used the office to do some work during the holiday and she needs good wifi for her job, and she had no issues. TV – I LOVE TV and it was a great touch that there was a smart TV in each bedroom with Sky Steam AND with the full sky movie packages. The living room was perfect. The couch was mega comfy and everyone could have a good spot. The Tv was nice and big and you could move the TV angle to suit – perfect for watching films together. Really expensive tumble dryer which was a treat (I only know this because my sister has the same one!) and great washing machine too. I think that’s everything! So overall we had a fantastic stay – the whole package ticked every box for us – which is hard to do! And we are coming back next year.
