Scurlage is a small village, named after the family who built a fortified manor house, although none of the remains of ‘Scurlage Castle’ have survived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have recommended it to some friends who are interested in visiting the area.

! Weather was very wet, unseasonably cool, electric fire in lounge thankfully helped but radiators would have been much better especially in bedrooms, otherwise a really lovely holiday cottage.

Fully equipped kitchen including consumables, bin bags etc and a welcome pack with delicious cakes! Comprehensive user manual. Beds and bedding are basic but comfortable. Slightly damp smell in main bedroom - fortunately we enjoyed decent weather (for The Gower) so able to open windows continually. Spacious bathrooms. Cosy lounge/diner. Some noise from nearby road and dogs barking (possibly adjacent farm?) but otherwise an excellent location for all Gower attractions.
