We had a really lovely stay at Bungalow Highfields late September/early October. The weather was really nice. The bungalow is situated very close to the beach and has easy access to the restaurants and pub etc in the village. The beach and restaurants are only a few minutes walk away. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable and is a great place to relax and has everything you need to enjoy a holiday there. It has a very comfortable bed and a great shower after a long days walking. The Gower is a beautiful area to explore and Port Eynon gives easy road access to lots of the famous beauty spots but is lovely in itself too. Lynne left some thoughtful welcome gifts which were much appreciated. We ate in the Smugglers Bar in the Village and had nice fish and chips there. The Ship Inn in the village was also nice but a lot pricier and not such nice food to be honest. The Observatory Cafe in Swansea on the beach is very quirky and does lovely brunch food there. We enjoyed beautiful peaceful walks along the coastal path at Port Eynon towards Oxwich, spent a day at Oxwich Bay nature reserve, had a long day at the stunning Rhossili bay and of course watched the best sunset over Worms Head at Rhossili. The Gower is a very special place and we hope to return and Bungalow Highfields would be our choice again for sure. Thank you Lynne for making it such a lovely, welcoming Holiday home.

A well situated little bungalow, that proved to be ideal for us. Really warm, great kitchen and a v impressive giant sofa! Lots of area outside for sitting out. 5 minutes walk to an amazing beach - something for everyone - sand, rock pools etc and 5 minutes to a great pub, with another restaurant and fish and chip shop available. Local on site shop is very well stocked, with friendly staff. Loved the fact that so many great walks were close by - Rhossili, Whiteford beach and the lighthouse (Llanmadoc) etc. We left the car at home and walked over the fields to Oxwich Bay and back along the coastal path. The owner was really friendly and helpful and we appreciated the welcome gifts. Thanks so much Lynne. We just could have done with the sun appearing a bit more🤣.

Lynne, the host, was very helpful. The accommodation had all the amenities required for your stay. A couple of bottles of local beer had been left in the fridge which was much appreciated after a long drive. Port Eynon beach was a short walk away using duckboards over the dunes. This was my first Gower experience and I found some stunning views, most notably around Three Cliffs Bay, Oxwich Bay and Rhosili with some beautiful walks along the Wales coast path.
