The Retreat is a high-end, single-storey lodge nestled on the Woodlands Lodge Retreat in Gilfachrheda near Llanarth, Ceredigion.
With access to on-site facilities and just a short distance to the nearby beach, The Retreat is a fabulous dwelling for a couple and their canine companions looking to stay in this region of Wales.
Step into the open-plan living space and make yourself at home. Take over the well-equipped kitchen as you fire up the range cooker and get to work on a home-cooked classic whilst the rest of the group set the dining table with crockery and cutlery.
Afterwards, enjoy a bottle of fizz on one of the two enclosed verandas, enjoying the park’s tranquil setting. Later you can curl up on the sofas to enjoy the contemporary and relaxing living space and watch the Smart TV.
When you’re ready to call it a day ease into a bubble bath or freshen up in the en-suite shower before retiring to the king-size bed with luxury memory foam mattress.
From the door, venture on a nature-filled stroll in one of the many woodlands, sure to be enjoyed by your canine companion, before enjoying a refreshing pint in the Llanina Arms.
Cei Bach Beach and Penbryn Beach are easily accessible, offering golden expanses for sunbathing and sandcastle building. The local towns of New Quay and Aberaeron are nearby, and you can lace up your walking boots and wander the coastal path spanning across Mid Wales.
Further afield towards Aberystwyth, you'll also have the chance to visit Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum, Aberystwyth Castle Grounds, dating back to the 13th century, and aboard the Vale of Rheidol Railway, offering scenic journeys across the county, before heading to Parc Natur Penglais for a picnic in the meadows.

Llanarth is located on the main A487 coast road, which opens up numerable options and places to visit. Just a short drive away are various beaches, fishing lakes and the regency harbour town of Aberaeron, along with wonderful walks and cycle routes that are easily accessible. The popular beachside harbour town of New Quay is just 3 miles away, where you will find a traditional seaside feel and perhaps the chance to buy the day's catch. Lovely shops, tea rooms, ice cream parlours, fish and chip shops, dolphin watching and boat rides can all be enjoyed in New Quay. With the picturesque Cardigan coastline and the inland beauty of the Cambrian Mountains and Preselli Hills, this is a perfect location for any type of holiday you’re looking for.

Itâs value for money and one of the largest lodges in the Woddksnds site. A great place to mxx xx ke a base to travel to all the beaches and little villysgrs fitted around the coast. Highly recommended and we will be back.

It is set in the lovely, peaceful and quiet location surrounded by mature trees and hills. The property itself is of a good size, spotlessly clean and kitted out to a very high standard. A good size decking area both front and side capturing all the sunlight. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The owners Karen and Adrian should be very proud of The Retreat. Hopefully we be able to rebook very soon. Thanks
