New Quay is famous for its resident dolphins which are regularly spotted throughout the year.
You can take boat trips from the quay out into Cardigan Bay. The town offers a good selection of pubs, eateries and shops befitting a seaside town. Dylan Thomas is reputed to have based some of his characters for Under Milk Wood on locals and the town is proud of its Maritime Heritage.
Small boats can be launched from Dolau beach but those thinking of bringing a larger boat need to check with the Harbourmaster's Office.
