From the warm welcome to the welcome pack, the warmth of a log burner glowing on arrival, this cottage was simply stunning - it even started snowing as we pulled up outside! The cottage has a real homely charm about it and all created by the owners who live literally 50 feet away. Despite being snowed in for the first 3 days, the panoramic view from the French doors in the living room more than compensated.Unfortunately, we had to leave on the Wednesday as my wife fell ill and we didn't want to risk being snowed in with more snow due on the Thursday/Friday. That said, in 20 years of visiting cottages the length and breadth of the UK, this was the best we've stayed at and, we've stayed at some crackers! We are already looking at when we can revisit this year to make up for our early departure this time around. Can't comment on local amenities and places to visit as we couldn't get out until the day we left. Finally, the owners were truly warm, generous and humble people made it all the better.Hope to be back soon.

Just back from a weeks stay at Willow Tit cottage. Can honestly say it has been a wonderful, relaxing break in a lovely comfortable space. Cottage is down a half mile track that is quite bumpy but only goes to the cottage so no passing traffic and an extremely quiet location. Only sounds are of the birds in the garden which included the willow tits after whom the cottage is named plus three visits from a woodpecker and a morning visit from a kestrel. Would definitely recommend this cottage and will more than likely revisit.
