Tafarn Tydu is a delightful, seafront holiday cottage, once an unusual combination of a local pub and fish and chip shop, it still sits in the heart of this tiny seaside hamlet of Cwmtydu.

Tucked in the little valley, Cwmtydu is a stunning location, the little river runs through and provides a natural pool for swimming before it enters the sea. Once used by smugglers due to its hidden location you can now marvel at the wildlife and may be lucky enough to see the seal pups on the beach in the autumn months or watch one of the stunning sunsets.

The property offers a spacious open-plan living area that benefits from bi-fold doors that open out enabling you the opportunity to take your dining experience outdoors. Prepare some local delicacies to take out for a picnic in the well-equipped kitchen or cosy up in the lounge area and watch some TV as the evening grows darker. Ideal for couples or small families, set over one floor, with a double and bunk bedroom and a family shower room. With incredible coastal walks from the door, your dogs will enjoy this hidden gem as much as you.

Sit and watch the world go by with a morning cup of coffee or enjoy alfresco dining whatever the weather with a covered veranda, as the sun sets take a short stroll to the beach and hopefully catch one of the awe-inspiring sunsets.

The Ceredigion Coastline is peppered with tiny coves, sandy beaches and towns with candy coloured houses lining the streets, such as nearby New Quay a traditional seaside village or Aberaeron which is a delightful bustling harbourside town, perfect to try the famous honey ice cream or stroll along the footpath to the nearby National Trusts Llanerchaeron. To the north we have Aberystwyth with its Victorian Pier, starling murmuration’s, steam railway, funicular railway and the gateway to explore the Cambrian Mountains. To the south there is a myriad of coves and hidden beaches such as Llangrannog, Penbryn or Tresaith. Visit the iconic white chapel ay Mwnt or the Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran. A fantastic location to visit picturesuq town and head off on stunning coastal walks, Tafarn Tydu is an idyllic space to enjoy everything Ceredigion has to offer.

This quiet Welsh village has a welcoming pub and a very well stocked local shop that are the heart of this agricultural community. A very popular walking and cycling area, there are trails right from the doorstep, with fishing and golf close by too. Visitors can spend wonderful days exploring the old drovers’ routes from the market town of Tregaron up into the Cambrian Mountains, discovering gems of local craftsmanship in the Welsh Gold Centre or maybe catch the annual trotting harness racing. With the beaches, coves and dramatic clifftop coastal path of the scenic coastline just a short drive away, and the vibrant towns of Aberaeron and Aberystwyth too, this is the perfect base for a holiday all year round.
