Guests say

Rwgan is a charming, characterful cottage set in a tranquil rural location, ideal for those seeking peace and easy access to beautiful beaches and countryside walks. Guests consistently praise the spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the relaxing hot tub. The property is undergoing gradual improvements, with new windows and ongoing renovations noted. While some mention areas needing further attention, particularly regarding damp and exterior maintenance, most guests enjoyed a cosy, memorable stay and found the owner helpful and responsive. The cottage is especially suited to families, dog owners, and those who appreciate period features and a secluded setting.

Several guests found the property clean and well-presented, but a notable number reported issues with superficial cleaning, damp, and occasional missed details such as unwashed kitchenware or bugs in the attic. Cleanliness appears to be variable, with some improvements needed.

The location is widely praised for its peace, seclusion, and proximity to beaches and walking paths. Guests appreciate the rural setting and easy access to local attractions, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway.

Most guests found the cottage comfortable, highlighting the cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and effective heating. Occasional issues with damp and maintenance were mentioned, but overall comfort levels are high.

The hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, and spacious garden are frequently mentioned as highlights. Some guests noted maintenance issues (e.g., broken guttering, windows, boiler), but ongoing improvements are evident. Facilities generally meet or exceed expectations for a rural cottage.

Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as complimentary firewood and helpful communication from the owner. However, as these gestures are not guaranteed for every stay, future guests should not expect them as standard.

Good value for money, and in an idyllic peaceful location so can't be to critical. The house is a little tired but the owners seem to be gradually investing in it.The new window's at the front of the house are beautiful. For the size of the house a larger fridge would be helpful and some more cutlery would be useful.Overall we had a great stay in a lovely country house with plenty of outdoor space for our children to explore.

Fantastic location . Hot tub is excellent. There were lots of little extras in the house which were thoughtful. The new front windows are fabulous. The house is starting to look great. A few small issues which we have addressed with the owner. Will certainly be back

Overall not an unpleasant stay. We really enjoyed the area and being within reasonable distance to local amenities meant the house was secluded and very peaceful. Sadly when we arrived we found the property wasn’t particularly clean and we spent time cleaning ourselves to feel comfortable enough to stay. The top floor was unusable due to the sheer amount of bugs and flies, we shut the door and never opened it again. We noticed several safety issues we felt were a concern. The hot tub was lovely to use and a welcome feature. The listing states the garden is secure but we noticed it wasn’t particularly safe or secure for the dogs. Overall this house has fantastic potential but still needs a lot of work, the lack of attention to detail is very evident. As it is now, we can’t say we would stay again.
