The Old Cow Shed at Ty Hir is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay or the wonderful Ceredigion countryside, there is plenty to see and do on your doorstep or look out across glorious fields with beautiful red kites often spotted above – the owners leave food for the red kites and they swoop down and take the food from the front garden – spectacular to watch!
Situated close to the town of Aberaeron with its beautiful, coloured houses and fabulous harbour and beaches. The quirky harbour towns of Aberaeron, Aberystwyth and New Quay offer traditional Welsh pubs, stylish restaurants, and sandy beaches where dolphins and porpoises are often spotted on a clear day. To the north are the famous slopes of Snowdon, offering breath-taking views with abundance of walks amidst the tumbling waterfalls and shimmering lakes, with buzzards and peregrine falcons soaring high. The area is a natural playground for ramblers, mountain bikers and climbers alike.

Beautifully appointed cottage on a farm within a superb setting. Easy to get everywhere due to being close to the main Aberaeron to Lampeter road. Peace and quiet was absolutely invigorating, augmented by the Red Kites that are always circling. Highly recommended as a base to get to New Quay, Aberystwyth or even Cardigan, not to mention all the things to see and do in the area.

Myself and my husband had a wonderful week. The cow shed was everything we needed and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet holiday. We enjoyed been a le to feed the red kites that were in the field right next to us. We had a very enjoyable time and was just what we needed which was to de-stress and recharge our batteries. We will definitely be looking into next year to stop again
