Located in a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, these wonderful properties boast character, charm and all the comforts for the perfect countryside holiday with a resident barn owl in the grounds. Close to the borders of both mid and south Wales, these very comfortable properties provide perfect holiday accommodation. The four cottages, Cartws (ref OH3), Stabl (ref OH4), Beudy Bach(ref OH5) and Beudy (OH2) form a right angle shape with parking in front, with lovely views across the countryside and all have their own terraces with furniture. Families will appreciate the separate recreational area with football posts and nets, picnic bench and table set away from the cottages. For added enjoyment, all four cottages feature their own private hot tubs in their enclosed patios.
All are ideally placed for exploring the dramatic and truly scenic Ceredigion coastline. The picturesque and colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is only 6 miles away where there is a selection of interesting independent shops and a great choice of restaurants and eateries including, fish and chips, ice cream parlour and fine dining. The National Trust house and gardens of Llanerchaeron are 4 miles away and from here there’s a delightful level pedestrian country footpath, suitable for bikes, pushchairs or wheelchairs, which leads into Aberaeron. Pretty New Quay with boats bobbing about in the harbour is just a few miles further on, and is definitely worth a visit. You must look out for the resident pods of bottlenose dolphins seen in the bay on an almost daily basis! Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

We’ve just returned from an excellent stay at this property. Cleanliness was second to none and we instantly felt at home (we were also gifted a well received welcome hamper of goodies!). Hosts Alan and Wynne were friendly and only a phone call away for any problems - however left us to enjoy our holiday. Towels were plentiful and the hot tub was a great addition and well maintained. The layout of the house worked perfectly for small children, with a doiwnstairs wet room and spacious bedrooms giving flexibility. Loved the football pitch area which was only a few steps away from the front door. Our children enjoyed hearing the resident owl at nighttime! The local shop was part of a garage, and had everything we needed for a top up shop. We also found smaller supermarket about 15 minutes away (Morrisons). We particularly enjoyed visiting New Quay, great for families. We also enjoyed a sunny day at Tresaith Beach, which houses a stunning waterfall. On our way home to the Midlands, we called in at Devil’s Bridge - a breathtaking experience. Thank you Alan and Wynne - an experience we won’t forget.

Lovely, modern and clean accommodation, near to Aberaeron and a short drive from New quey and Aberystwyth. Recreation area by accommodation for children and exercise area for a dog. Local petrol station with small shop near by. Lovely views, quiet area. We had a lovely stay.

Lovely quiet spot- local wildlife and working farms. Dog was surprised that sheep grazed in the recreation field when it was walking time but we explored local lane instead. Good in house information- had to use emergency vet. Very good honest friendly local people. Hot tub lovely. Would have loved to use it more. Thank you.
