The Stable is a charming cottage set in beautiful countryside, praised for its tranquil setting, stunning views, and dog-friendly secure garden. Guests consistently highlight the warm, welcoming owners and the relaxing hot tub as standout features. The property is well located for exploring local beaches and attractions, with plenty of walks from the doorstep. While most found the cottage clean and comfortable, a few mentioned minor maintenance issues and some dated facilities. Overall, guests enjoyed a peaceful, memorable stay and would happily return.
Most guests found the cottage spotlessly clean and tidy, with particular praise for the bedding and hot tub maintenance. A few minor issues were noted, such as a stained mattress and occasional comments about the games room, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is frequently described as stunning, peaceful, and ideal for both relaxation and exploring the coast and countryside. Guests appreciated the proximity to local towns, beaches, and walking routes, though a few noted it is somewhat remote from amenities.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable and cosy, especially enjoying the beds and living areas. However, some mentioned hard or tired mattresses and minor discomfort with bedding materials, which slightly affected the overall comfort score.
The hot tub, games room, and secure garden were highly valued, with many guests enjoying the range of facilities. Some reviews mentioned dated or worn equipment, limited kitchen items, and occasional maintenance issues, but these did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
Owners are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, and responsive, often going out of their way to assist guests. Occasional welcome gifts such as milk were mentioned, but these are not guaranteed. Some guests would have appreciated more local information or small touches.

The place was clean and comfortable and had everything we would need for the week. The hot tub is wonderful with the added touch of the beautiful scenery in the backdrop. It's set in a perfect location for travelling around with plenty of shops just a short drive away. The owners are so friendly and helpful and are always around if you need anything. This is definitely one of our favourite places to stay now and will most certainly return again soon

The cottage was clean and well equipped. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and we loved sitting in it looking at the stars. We cooked most nights and had everything we needed to cook and serve meals. The washer and drier in the games room was a great addition, especially when travelling with children. The host Mr Davies was really lovely and approachable should we need anything. We did lots of exploring of the local area and visiting beaches to hunt for sea glass. We were able to make the most of our National Trust membership which was great. The location is fantastic.
