Less than two miles away is the unsurpassed Poppit Sands beach where you can relax and enjoy the fresh sea air by the mouth of the Teifi Estuary. The River Teifi lays 100 yards behind Ty Capel Seion meandering through the countryside.
This striking cottage is full of character and offers a spacious open plan living and dining room with rustic beams and a separate kitchen. On the first floor the excellently appointed master bedroom and twin room are spacious and thoughtfully finished.
Ty Capel Seion is the perfect central location for exploring both the coast and countryside of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion giving you a wide choice of places to explore and discover. A five minute walk from Ty Capel Seion is the historic and beautiful ruins of St Dogmaels’ mediaeval Tironensian Benedictine abbey. Here you can enjoy a freshly brewed coffee whilst taking in the ruins. For walkers the Preseli hills are a must and don’t forget to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast footpath which covers some 180 miles. The town of Newcastle Emlyn which lies on the River Teifi is a must when visiting, the market town has a host of boutique and craft shops.
The market town of Cardigan has a host of restaurants focusing on local produce and there is a fantastic market which sells lots of locally grown food and handmade gifts. Take a boat trip to spot dolphins or travel upstream on the River Teifi and visit the majestic Cenarth Falls, time it right and you may even catch glimpses of the salmon and sea trout as they leap upstream. A visit to Pembrokeshire would not be complete without visiting the walled town of Tenby, there are plenty of attractions for your family to explore with the award winning Folly Farm, Oakwood and Manor House.

Ty Capel Seion is a lovely cottage, and had everything we (me, my husband, and our pooch) needed. The weather was very mixed, but we were warm, comfortable and cosy. The cottage was really nicely decorated, and has views over the village. St Dogmaels is a nice village, with the river on one side, and a beautiful ruined abbey on another, it is surrounded by lovely countryside and it is only a short distance to beautiful coastline. There is a super fish and chip shop within a short distance, and a useful little supermarket within a few minutes walk. The surrounding area boasts lovely villages and beautiful beaches - many are dog-friendly too. We would highly recommend the cottage and the location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ty Capel Seion. The owners were really nice, helpful and friendly. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were really comfortable, probably the best we've ever had at a holiday rental. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it. Even our old dog who hates to be away from home was relaxed there.
