About this property

Beautiful one bedroom cottage in the most tranquil setting on the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion borders. Explore nearby Cardigan and the coast and return home to relax and unwind in this superbly presented holiday cottage.

This charming one bedroom newly converted barn is at the end of a long lane yet within walking distance of the historic village of Cilgerran. The 12th century Cilgerran Castle looms high above the River Teifi, where you can paddleboard or canoe downriver to the market town of Cardigan. Or put your walking boots on and explore the local footpaths or head to the Welsh Wildlife Centre, a 270 acre nature reserve. The village is well served with two pubs, a cafe and an award winning village shop. Cardigan (4 miles by car or a 3 mile cycle ride) offers plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and an independent cinema/theatre. As for beautiful beaches, try Poppit Sands (6 miles) or Mwnt (9 miles). As you enter the property you are welcomed into your kitchen/diner. The galley style kitchen has been done to a high specification and comes complete with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is a convenient table for you to sit around and delight in your culinary creations or simply enjoy a coffee while you plan out your day. Just off the kitchen/diner is a bathroom with a double shower and WC. Down the hallway, you will find your king size bedroom which has been beautifully decorated with ample storage for your clothing and belongings. On the first floor, you will find the lounge and another dining area, purposefully positioned so you can get the most of the stunning countryside views. Open up the doors to the Juliette balcony and take in the scenery, birdsong and fresh country air. There are two comfortable sofas provided where you can look forward to curling up on a colder evening in front of the electric wood burner effect fire whilst watching your favourite movies or boxsets on the Smart TV. Externally, the property benefits from a private decked area with loungers provided to relax in the Pembrokeshire sunshine. There is further outdoor seating to the front of the property on the gravel which enjoys views out into the countryside. You also have shared use of the on site bar and pizza oven where you can bring your own drinks and enjoy the pub atmosphere, and make friends with other guests in the neighbouring properties. There is parking available for one car in a shared courtyard area just 30 yards from the entrance of the property. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size. 1 bathroom with double shower and WC. Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer. Smart TV in the lounge. Parking for 1 car. Shared bar and pizza oven on site for guest use (May to September). Shop and pub within walking distance.
