"It does not take into account that this walk is beside an extremely busy a44 main road , with no path , so it is not safe to do so in my opinion. The cottage is lovely and well equipped, John and Jan are very friendly owners who were on hand when needed. We also had a lovely breakfast { included in our stay} and another good meal there. Bed is lovely and comfy and cottage bigger on inside than appears on outside. Enjoyed our stay there."
    Ms Trussell ‐ 1 Aug 2018
"Stunning setting of mountains and peace of the area all added to the relaxing nature but with bonus of only 20 minutes from Aberystwyth and the shops when needed."
    Mr Longden ‐ 1 Jul 2018
"Comfortable. Good location. Friendly owners. Small patio only, no garden. Good value."
    Mrs Mellor ‐ 1 Jun 2018
"The phone numbers you provided need checking. The mobile was always turned off and the landline goes through to the cafe which is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday."

    Miss Meredith ‐ 1 Feb 2018
"Extremely comfortable bed. Quality of decor wonderful. Bathroom excellent and thick fleecy towels. Sky TV watching WinterOlympics was good in the evenings! When the bottled gas needed replacing (for heating-everything else electric) -John ,the owner, quick and so obliging to sort that. Gorgous location and views and walking at nearby Bwlch Nant yr Arian and watching kite feeding as much of a highlight as visiting the really interesting refurbished Silver Lead Mining Museum opposite-official Heritage weekend March 24/25. So much to do-Art exhibitions and museum in Aberystwyth and Machynlleth-and great walking and birdwatching.Had a wonderful time-and the all-day breakfasts in Red Kite Cafe are top notch! Good food and atmosphere-this really is a little gem of a place."

"We booked this little holiday let as we had just gone through a very close family bereavement and were in need of a 'get away from it all'. What a little gem this was. The accommodation is deceiving from the outside and much larger inside than imagined. The equipment and facilities provided are excellent (including a washing machine and dishwasher). The bathroom is spacious and the power shower was excellent. The massive radiators in the lounge and bedroom are very efficient and kept us lovely and warm. As for the king sized bed - I can only say that this easily matched our own comfortable bed at home - we both slept like logs and by leaving the bedroom window slightly open at night it was a joy to be woken by the bleating of sheep in the morning. John was attentive and available whenever we needed him. Unfortunately there was a problem with the wifi in the accommodation whist we were staying but we found that we were able to pick this up from a signal at the cafe (which also provides free wife). All in all a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you also John for the free breakfast at your Red Kite cafe which was included with the booking - what a lovely treat."

Mr Sydney Hutchinson, Shipley, West Yorkshire
"We were met on arrival by the owner, who showed us around the cottage, was always helpful and friendly throughout and obviously a fantastic source of knowledge for the local area. His Red Kite Cafe at the end of the drive provided one of the best ever breakfasts we have ever had, so give it a go! Ty Twt was a warm and comfortable cottage, very clean throughout with ample crockery etc. required for our stay. We were very central for the beautiful area with many walks and the town of Aberystwyth only minutes away giving access to the coastal walks....fabulous. A totally relaxing holiday with fabulous views of the night sky as no light pollution."
    Mr George Haskins, Bridport, Dorset
"Had an excellent holiday in a beautiful cottage, the scenery out of every window was lovely. It was very very clean, which in our eyes is a plus. Had lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you."
    Mrs Cheryl Richmond, Reading, Berkshire
"Ty Twt is furnished to a very high standard and was very comfortable. It is just the right size for two people and we loved spending the week there. The bedroom windows look out onto the hill at the back of the house, so we had the pleasure of watching the lambs every morning. The holiday was relaxing, with lots of walking (and birdwatching). We also really enjoyed visiting Aberystwyth, which is just ten miles away, and Machynlleth. It is the perfect base from which to explore the mountains and the sea. The cottage owners are very friendly and welcoming, and we also enjoyed some lovely meals in their Red Kite cafe, which is close to the cottage. A wonderful week's break, thank you."
    Mrs Jean Coombs, Portsmouth, Hampshire
"Beautiful views overlooking the hills with red kites flying overhead. Lambs were being born at this particular time. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended."
    Mr James Higgins, Market Drayton,
"The owners of the cottage were very helpful and always very approachable. If I had any questions or problems they were there to deal with it night and day. It was a nice quiet area but not completely in the middle of nowhere. There were shops and supermarkets a short drive away which came in handy for those last minute Christmas shopping supplies. Overall I do see myself returning."
    Mrs Denise Vassallo, Zurrieq,
"Great people and a lovely environment!!! They are very helpful and can't imaging going back to Wales and not staying there!! "
Mrs Doreen Kirton, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear
"Cottage was lovely, the owner friendly and very helpful. Was great waking up and watching the sheep from the bedroom window come over the hill. Must see the red kites just along the road, when it is feeding time, it was such a sight to see."
    Mrs Caroline Macartney, Bolton,
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Twt. The cottage was lovely with an extremely comfortable bed and fantastic power shower. It had everything we needed. The location was great and the views were lovely. The owners were most welcoming and very helpful during our stay. "
    Mr Ken Emerson, SPENNYMOOR,
"On our safe arrival at the cottage (due to the directions provided) my wife and I were shown around the cottage and all its facilities, which by the way were spot-on! We were made to feel very welcome by the whole family, while not being pushy or overbearing. This was our first visit to Mid-Wales, the cottage was set in an ideal position to see the Red Kite's, enabled us to visit places of interest and of course the beautiful countryside of Wales."
    Mrs Joan Buxton, Kettering, Northants
"A beautifully decorated cottage situated in a lovely part of the countryside, especially geared for those who like walking, bird watching and beautiful scenery! - even a cuckoo singing in the early morning!"
Mr Chris Rooney, Kingston upon Thames,
"All aspects of this cottage were excellent- would recommend to friends."
    Mr John Cave, Spalding,
"Fantastic holiday. Very easy to find location. Quiet and peaceful. Cottage very comfortable and completed to a high standard. Owners very attentive and helpful. Ideal location if you enjoy Red Kite bird watching. "
    Mr Andrew Walker, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
"We can honestly say that everything was perfect, the cottage was beautiful and well kept. We loved the personal touches that we were given and how high-end everything felt. "
    Mrs Bell, Bristol, Gloucestershire
"We were the first holidaymakers in this newly built cottage and really liked it here. A lot of thought has gone into the property. The property is equipped to a high standard, and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. The location is excellent for a great many attractions in the area."
    Mrs Carrington, Holywell, Flintshire
"It is a quiet location, very picturesque. The cottage is lovely, cannot find any fault with property. The owner was very helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble."
    Mrs Kent, Bristol, Somerset
"Very friendly owners. Beautiful views. Really beautifully decorated and filled cottage. Lovely."
