About this property

Escape to a luxurious restored 1800s stone cottage in West Wales. Tucked away in a quiet hamlet Bryndelyn is an idyllic peaceful place for couples and families alike who want to escape, explore and return to something truly special. Perfectly placed for coastal adventures just short drive away from coastal town New Quay, Aberaeron and Ceredigion coastal line. Enjoy valley views, a private walled garden, a wood burning stove, modern living, and an optional private chef for special celebrations.

Originally a local sawmill, Bryndelyn has been thoughtfully converted into two dwellings while retaining its original character and charm. Modern materials and design have been used with modern living in mind, creating a warm, welcoming space.

Downstairs, the open-plan living area includes a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen, ideal for socialising and relaxing. The sitting room features an impressive original fireplace with a wood-burning stove. A feature barn door links to the kitchen, which boasts handcrafted cabinetry, a smeg range cooker, high-quality cookware, and a second stove with a vintage leather chair for company while cooking.

For special celebrations, a local private chef can be arranged, previously featured on the BBC and having worked with Gordon Ramsay, to prepare an unforgettable feast in the cottage (subject to availability and a additional cost).

The dining room features an impressive four-metre table, perfect for long meals, games, or relaxed evenings together.

Upstairs, the original staircase leads to two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry area. Both bedrooms have double beds with orthopaedic mattresses and premium linen for a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom combines reclaimed wood panelling, an antique copper bath under the eaves, and a separate shower cubicle for convenience.

Throughout the cottage, a calm, understated style has been applied: soft whites, natural fabrics, pale oak shutters, jute rugs, and curated artwork downstairs; richer tones upstairs complement the original wooden floors, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere.

Located within easy reach of New Quay, Aberaeron, and West Wales beaches, our cottage offers access to coastal walks, local pubs, and charming villages, while remaining a peaceful retreat. The property is ideal for guests who want to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience a luxury Welsh cottage near the coast.
