About this property

This carefully restored farm building retains much of its original character and charm. Even its name, Chellow, refers to one of its long-gone bovine inhabitants!

A bright, open plan living room greets you, with lovely wooden beams and rafters, wooden flooring with rugs, a multi-fuel stove, comfy seating, TV and DVD player. The dining area is to one end of this spacious room.

The kitchen is separated, but still part of the sitting room, so you can enjoy chatting whilst preparing meals. It is well equipped with an electric cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

There's an airing cupboard and drying room in the hall.

A shared tumble dryer is located in the laundry room

There are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and an ensuite with a spacious shower, loo and wash hand basin. There is also a double bedroom with king size bed and a twin bedroom.

The family bathroom has a bath, separate shower, loo and wash hand basin.

The garden has a lovely sun terrace with garden furniture.

Chellow holiday cottage sits in a fantastic location in an Area of outstanding Natural Beauty and with the Angelsey Coastal Path running right outside the door! The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard to provide warm, contemporary accommodation. The views stretch over open fields towards the Menai Strait and Caernarfon castle. This is a magical sight when it is floodlit in the evenings, with the backdrop of Snowdon and the twinkling lights of the hillside villages.

Chellow Cottage is located next to Tan Twr Farm Cottage. This is a private, converted farm where privacy between each cottage is highly valued. Alternatively, these two cottages would make a fantastic venue for a large group of guests holidaying together.

The small village of Dwyran is close to its larger neighbour of Newborough, which lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing. Behind the beach, the 1500-acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve, while the Red Squirrel Wood at Newborough Forest has miles of great routes for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. The Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Beaumaris Castle, many golf courses and miles of wonderful beaches, are only a short drive away.

It is on the Wales Coastal path and a short drive to Newborough Forest and Beach which has great guided walks. Sadly we didn’t see any red squirrels! The cottage itself is warm and the kitchen well appointed. The laundry with a tumble dryer is an added bonus. The beds are very comfortable and we had no problem sleeping as it’s so peaceful. The spacious living area with a wood burning stove and enormous tv was a lovely area to unwind at the end of a busy day! Hilary and Mike are on hand with help if needed and advice about the local area which they know well. Dogs are welcome and ours loved all the walks and dog friendly businesses nearby. We will definitely book again. Some people may expect a hairdryer if I’m being really picky (I always take my own!)

Nice and warm in December. Situation on the coats path is good for walks, with the beach is just 10 mins walk away and Newborough a few mins drive. Only minor point was the lack of a 'normal' welcome pack.

A lovely house with excellent hosts. The scenery was beautiful and we even saw a red squirrel in the garden. Ideal for anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing holiday.
