Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a great location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, yet only six minutes from the Britannia Bridge to access the mainland.

Hugh the owner popped over to check we had everything we needed and checked we knew how to operate the heating etc. This was a lovely touch, he is a very genuine lovely man. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. We only used 1 bedroom and bathroom, but there was another bathroom with a bath ,loo and sink and twin beds, and wardrobe and plenty of space. We had a double bed and bathroom with a walk in shower, loo and sink our room was spacious and had wardrobes also. Their was a cupboard with cleaning equipment which is great when you have dogs etc. The living space has a big leather sofa and chair, tv, dining table and a kitchen running along the wall. This worked really well for us, as it meant we were all together and could keep am eye on the dogs. From the living room there are sliding patio doors that open up onto a decked area that is as long as the bungalow, this was great for our dogs as they were contained, we also sat out side and enjoyed a drink watching the sunset. The decking overlooks a play area which is quite large and has a trampoline and an sorted swing set. There is also a field next to the accommodation where you can walk your dog. All in all we had a wonderful break, the weather was sunny, and the location and accommodation were fab

Immaculately clean and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful.. We adored the patiodoors and decking area. Huew was an excellent host who made us extremeky welcome including our 2 dogs!! We tried to keep the pomsky hair moult under control but the vacuum cleaner wasnt very powerful. We did explain. Apologies once again.

Firstly, there was no climbing frame or cows . My choice of property was very much focused on facilities for a 4 year old who is an animal lover so we were very disappointed on arrival to find out that there were none. Secondly, the twin beds were extremely uncomfortable, the springs were digging into my back so my 4 nights sleep was very disrupted. I have noticed in previous reviews that the mattresses were mentioned and they really do need upgrading. Unfortunately we were unable to hoover through on our departure because the hoover was not working very well and the smell was unpleasant when we tried to use it.
