About this property

Enveloped by countryside views is Llys y Graig, a 19th century, former manor house resting on the outskirts of Pentraeth, Anglesey. Within proximity to a range of amenities and the stunning shoreline, whilst offering flexible sleeping arrangements, private gardens, and well-equipped accommodation, the home makes the ideal base for a group break, inviting twelve guests and two furry companions. Benefit from a sweeping private driveway before entering this magnificent home, adorning original features throughout, including traditional wooden shutters and lofty ceilings. Be welcomed into the spacious sitting room with plenty of plush seating for your entire group to relax upon after a day of travelling, before continuing through to the dining room, complete with two tables, ideal for family meals. The kitchen is well-equipped with a range of appliances to ease your stay, along with a neighbouring utility and pantry, home to a washing machine, tumble dryer, and additional storage. When sleep calls, select between five well-appointed bedrooms, including a double and a twin on the ground floor, and a double with en-suite, and two family rooms on the first floor. The interior is complete with two bathrooms, offering convenience for a large party. Awaken to a fresh coffee in one of the three garden areas, with the front being enclosed, perfect for your four-legged friends, or discover the multi-level garden, ideal for listening to the birds’ tweet nearby or the chance to spot the resident red squirrels. Prepare for a day of adventure, starting off with a hike across either Traeth Coch Pentraeth or Traeth Benllech, before reaching Beaumaris, its castle and bustling pier for some breath-taking coastal views. Be spoilt for choice when it comes to attractions upon the isle, where you can discover the Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Pili Palas Nature World, Plas Newydd House and Gardens, or Anglesey Sea Zoo, whilst crossing over Menai Bridge will bring you to the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre, sure to offer an afternoon of fun upon the water. The seaside town of Caernarfon is reachable by car, home to a marina, popular golf club, and stunning castle, recognised as one of the most magnificent fortresses around the world, or if you'd prefer to feel at one with nature, explore Snowdonia National Park, brimming with picturesque landscapes. Experience all of this at Llys y Graig.

On Anglesey's north-eastern shore, a little, charming village called Pentraeth may be found by the banks of the River Nodwydd. It is situated between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which offers more than 4.5 miles of sandy coastline, and features a town chapel that goes back to the 12th century. The Welsh name for Red Wharf Bay is Traeth Coch (Red Beach), and it is well known for its spectacular sunsets. The bay is ideal for excellent family fun, fishing, and miles of breathtakingly beautiful scenic walks because it is quite shallow and offers safe bathing. Numerous wading and waterfowl species, such as shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers, and dunlin, are drawn to the enormous bay.

Jane the owner was lovely and was there on our arrival. We received a welcome basket with essentials and the fridge was stocked with milk (much appreciated). A few small things weren’t perfect, such as… Upstairs could have been a little cleaner, little dusty and some insects. No door on the dryer, which made it unusable. Bath upstairs was unusable. We understand that with old houses like this there may be a few hiccups. Despite these small things we really loved our stay here.

Plenty of room for everyone and a big lounge and kitchen for everyone to eat and socialise. The house is very well situated near to the beach and is only a short drive or walk from a dog friendly pub. Although the weather was unsettled we found lots of things to do during the week .Most enjoyable family holiday

Plenty of comfortable seating and very comfortable beds. Lovely location with just a short walk to the beach of Red Wharf Bay.
